Reports Current in Rome ITALIAN PROTECTORATE (Received 21, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 20. The "Morning Post's” correspondent at Rome says: "It is believed here that Italian emissaries are in direct contact with the Emperor’s spokesmen. It is expected that an armistice will shortly be signed on the basis of an Italian protectorate over the whole of Abyssinia, after which a full military treaty in Italy’s favour will be negotiated.” The British United Press orrespondent at Rome says: "Crown Prince Asfaowasat is en route to Dessie, presumably to ascertain Italy’s terms.”
