Greendale Club On Saturday afternoon ths Greendale Cycle Road-Racing Club opened the 1936 season under very favourable conditions, the weather being all that could be desired and the route in very fair order. This, the first race of the season, wa;, a comparatively short one, the distance being fixed at 15 miles Nearly 20 riders lined up, and a very good race eventuated, the pee being exceptionally fast. E. Wells «as the winner, with G. Spivey second »nd Murray third. Fastest time was recorded by Williams, 38min 31sec, the winner’s time being 39min 21secs. The junior race, which preceded the other contest, was won by D. Engert from a very good field.
