Rabbit Board Prosecutions

(To the Editor.) Sir,—Please permit me to answer “Hawke’s Bay Farmer’s” valued criticism. He says that he poisoned satisfactorily under the Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board’s advice. He probably did the same last year, also the year before. He will do the same next year and so on, and still be satisfied, irrespective of what his neighbours are doing, who in many eases are doing nothing, and incidentally in my own case are not even members of an association In short, “Hawke’s Bay Farmer” is still quite content to remain the servant of the board. Now, Sir, if “Hawke’s Bay Farmer’s” property were i lithe Lust Coast Rabbit Board area, that board would become his servant. The board would do t ie poisoning, and the property would he under the closest supervision, not only “Hawke’s Bay Farmer’s” Property, but all the adjoining property. The jo > would not stop until every rabbit was accounted for. This. Sir, clearly illustrates the Hastings, April 9, 1936.
