SWIMMING

Mahora Club Trophies A committee meeting of the Mahora Swimming Club was neld on Tuesday evening and was presided over by Mr J. Wise. It was decided to hold the annual social at Mahora on May 1 and that Mr G. A. Maddison, patron of the club be invited to present the trophies won during the last season. Mesdames Wyatt, Lowe, Huy and Ferguson were appointed a sub-committee to deal with supper arrangements. The usual 600 tournament will be held during the evening. The winners of club trophies for the season :—Campbell Cup (senior men s championship), D. Watkins; Kessell Cup (intermediate boys’ championship), P. Tritt; Lane Cup (intermediate girls’ championship), B. Thompson; Giorgi Cup (junior boys’ championship), B. Bridge; Campbell Cup (junior girls’ championship), J. Wedd; Stickland and Bryant Cup (men’s handicap), D. Watkins ; Baird Cup (intermediate girls’ handicap), B. Thompson; Campbell Cup (intermediate boys’ handicap), P. Tritt; Lowe Cup (junior boys’ handicap) G. Kelt; Garland Rose Vase (junior girls’ handicap), N. Thompson; schoolboys’ handicap cup, 1. Hay; schoolgirls’ handicap cup, R. Karcna; Wise diving shield, K. Dyer; Mr Harvey’s diving medal, I. Hay; Mr Hayes’s trophies, most consistent swimmers, P. Tritt, Nliss B. Thompson, Miss N. Thompson; Miss Morrin’s trophies, G. Kelt and Begley; Mr Thompson’s trophies, Miss N. Thompson and Miss D. Douglas; Mr A. Hay’s trophies, D. Wedd and Miss Inlt.
