For Easter Holidays The bookings for holiday rail traffic are unusually heavy this week, and the three express trains leaving Wellington for Auckland to-day are all booked up. Tho 5.9 p.m. train leaving Hastings for Wellington to-night is expected lu be a lery heavy train, and the special leaving for Wellington and New Plymouth at 10.22 o’clock this evening also will be heavy. Ail available seats in the Wellington to Auckland expresses leaving to-day at .3 p.m., 7.15 p.m., and 11.44 pm., were booked by yesterday afternoon. Tho Hustings railway officials report that the bookings are much larger than :il Christi ins, oning no doubt to the tact that in retail businesses thi holidays at Christinas consisted of onlv two days, whereas the Easter holidays give employees four free days.
