MARKET FOR SHEEP
Stortford Lodge Sale Prices realised for fat and store sheep at Stortford Lodge yesterday were as under:— FAT SHEEP. A lire of 79 fat wethers and maiden ewes, on account of R. Matthews, passed at 24/5. Twelve fairly framed blackface lambs made 20/-. i Two big-framed lamtis made 21/10, and one prime lamb made 24/9. Two prime heavy-ewes realised 18/6 and five good ewes made 17/-. One heavy 6-th ewe made 18/-. Three good black lambs made 21/-. A pen of 10 Southdown cross lambs made 21/2. A line of 13 fat ewes realised 17/1. Nine fairly-framed lambs made 20/-. One heavy lamb made 24/3 aud two prime heavy wool lambs, in good con dition, made 27/6. A line of 37 prime lambs, on account cf R. McGreevy, Porangahau, made 22/-. Fight prime heavy lambs passed at 24/-, and two prime S.D. wethers made 24'9. .Seven well-grown wethers made 25/-. A line of 52 fat lambs, good condition, passed at 20/5. One heavy lamb passed at 23/-. Twelve well-grown woolly lambs made 19/9. A pen of 8 good wethers made 22/9. Four prime heavy lambs made 22/6, and two 2-th ewes realised 22/-. STORE SHEEP. A pen of 299 fat and forward wethers, early shorn, good condition, made 23/4. A lino of 199 fat and forward, big framed wethers sold at 23/6. A line of 302 2-th wethers, big frames, passed at 22/6. A pen of 260 wether lambs, ou account of R. Matthews, made 19/4. A pen of 228 wether lambs, good condition, sold at IS/3. A pen of 200 shorn wether lambs, fairly grown and conditioned, made 17/7.' A further 228 from the same line made 17/6. A draft of 166 wether lambs ma.li 18/-. A pen of 250 wether lambs, in good condition, made 15/9. A further pen of 632 from the same line made 15/-. A draft of 130 wether lambs, in good condition, on account of R. McGreevy, Porangahau, made 20/6. A pen of 135 2-th wethers, big-fram-ed and good condition, realised 23/9. A line of 159 forward ewes fetched 12/7. A pen of 104 wethers, good coudi tion and fairly framed, made 24/3. A pen of 75 good wether Jambs, big
framed and in good condition, fetched 21/-. A line of 91 blackface lambs sold at 18/1. A draft of 12S woolly ewe lambs, well grown and in good condition, sold at 24/10. A pen of 68 two and four-tooth wethers made 24/-. Fourteen wether lambs sold at 14/4. Fifteen good wether lambs realised 17/-. Six well-grown ewe lambs, in good condition, realised 26/-. Nine two-tooth wethers made £l. Eleven ewe lambs, well grown, made 22/-. Thirteen blackface lambs made 18/2. Forty shorn ewe lambs, medium frames, on account of R. McGreevy, made 21/-. Twenty shorn wether lambs from the same property made 14/2.
