Ever since the foundation of the home the residents of Hawke’s Bav have shown in a practical manner their desire that the work should be carried on > and tho trustees confidently look to the collection to-morrow to give them the necessary funds to meet the current expenses. It will not be possible for collectors to call at every house in the provincial district, but an effort is being made to reach as many as possible. In any case, where a collector does not call sympathisers are asked to remit thbir donations direct tc the secretary, Mr 11. E. Edgley, P.O. Box 145, Napier, and all donations received through the post will be acknowledged in these columns.
