Prize-Giving Ceremony
The Rev. Father Cullen presented the year’s prizes to pupils of St. Joseph’s -Maori Girls’ College at Greenmeadows this week. Father Cullen said that this year was the most important in the history of the school since 1865, when Father Reigner founded the school. This year had seen the removal of the school from the old site in Napier, where nearly 2030 pupils had been taught during 60 years. The school had had a very successful year, and had been congratulated on its efficiency by the inspector of native schools, Mr. Ball. LIST OF AWARDS.
