KING’S SISTER ILL Royal Engagements Cancelled CONDITION CRITICAL (British Official Wireless., (Pieeeived 3, 12.30 p.m.j) RUGBY, Dee. 2. The following bulletin was issued to-night:— Princess Victoria had an acute and severe haemorrhage from the stomach yesterday evening. A transfusion of blood was performed, but has only been of temporary benefit. The condition of Her Royal Highness is critical. Princess Victoria, who is 67 years old, is the King’s sister. Owing to her grave illness His Majesty will not open Parliament in state to-morrow. No procession will take place and the King’s Speech will be read by tho Lord Chancellor. The King and Queen have cancelled their journey to Sandringham to-mor row.
