Club’s Annual Meeting The annual general meeting of the Havelock North Tennis Club was held oti Tuesday evening, the president, Mr P. I l '. Hunter, presiding. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The resignation of the club’s treasurer, Mr T. L. Blair, who has been transferred to Napier, was received with regret. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr Blair for his valuable work during his term as treasurer. The election of officers resulted as follows :—Patron, Air J. Chambers ; president, Mr P. F. Hunter; vicepresidents, Airs J. H. Williams, Alessrs W. Bridgman and G. Husheer; lion, secretary, Air H. Eddie; hon. treasurer, Mr H. Marshall; committee, Alisses E. Treneman, R. Joll, L. Crombie, Airs Cornwall, Alessrs L. Jones, B. Duke, R. Smith; ladder secretary, Air L. Jones; grounds committee, Alessrs H. Eddie and 11. Marshall. The committee’s action in having the courts repaired during the off-season was endorsed. An offer-from Air J. I). Heenan for a trophy for n women’s handicap singles competition was gratefully accepted. It was decided that nominations for the Hodge Cup competition be received up to November 30 and that the competition commence immediately after that date. Alter some discussion it was decided that the club should erect a volleyboard if funds permitted Votes of thanks were accorded Mr Hunter and also the secretary.
