By Telegraph-—Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 16.
The first prize of £12,000 in a Tasmanian consultation has been won by Mr C. H. K. Mountain, a well-known Newmarket business man and borough councillor. The ticket was taken out in the name of “Still Hoping.” Mr Mountain is tho proprietor of a plumbing and gas-fitting business. He has been a member of the Newmarket Borough Council for many years.
“I can hardly realise yet that I have wo-n all that money,” he said. “This is only the fourth time I have taken a ticket in a consultation, and I have not had any luck before. It is too early yet to say how I am going to use the £12,000. I was born in Scotland, and will naturally be very canny.”
