SPRING BLOOMS
HASTINGS FLOWER SHOW Creditable Exhibitioi THE LIST OF AWARDS The Hastings Horticultural Society held its spring show in the Assembly Hall this afternoon, when the display, considering the adverse weather conditions that have been experienced, was quite creditable. Daffodils constituted the principal section and included some choice blooms which had been most carefully raised. The standard, however, was not so high as in previous years owing to the effect of unfavourable weather. Mrs J. Mercer, of George's road, Hastings, a well-known exhibitor, was again very successful and secured numerous awards. The exhibits by the women’s organisations were most commendable and contained a profusion of blooms and colour. The Hustings Townswomen's Guild, with a fine display, was awarded first prize.
