PLANE OVERTURNS

Sheep Struck at Take-ofl PASSENGERS UNINJURED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 14. Being overturned through striking a sheep while taking off at Wigram Aero, drome yesterday afternoon, one of the Canterbury Aero Club’s Moth machines was damaged. The pilot, Mr. C. W. Evans, a pupil member of the club, and a passenger, Mr. S. A. Gibbons, were uninjured except that Mr. Gibbons received a knock on the head. The sheep was in the pilot's “blind spot.” The machine had not reached flying speed, but turned over on its nose. The occupants were able to unstrap themselves and get out without difficulty.
