Campbell—McMahon At St. Andrew’s Church, Port Ahuriri, yesterday alternon, the Rev. B. R. Brierley united in holy matrimony Lilian McMahon, daughter of Mrs McMahon, Auckland, and the late Mr McMahon to Donald McLeod Campbell, Napier, son of the late Mr and Mrs Campbell, Sutherlandshire, Scotland. The bride was escorted to the church by Mr. F. Annan, who gave her away. She wore a smart Russian tunio ensemble in Royal blue eilk cotele, the sleeves of the tunic and frock being trimmed with bands of narrow chenille to tone, and silver buttons finished the tunic. A felt hat to tone was worn and the bouquet was of red roses, daphne and violets arranged with fine fern. The duties of best mu were carried out by Mr George Campbell, Napier. After the ceremony thirty guests were entertained at the residence of Mr and Mrs F. Annan. Mrs Annan received in a model frock of claret marocain with fawn vestee and tiny button trimming. The usual toasts were honoured at

the afternoon tea, which was served in the dining-room, where decorations comprised Roman narcissi and daphne. The tables were decoraed with yellow narcissi and serviettes matched. The square wedding cake was the gift of Airs AlcNatty, being made by her. Later in the afternoon the young couple left on their honeymoon, which is being spent in Auckland. Mrs Campbell travelled in a costume of nigger-brown fancy check marocain, worn with lemon georgette blouse and nigger-brown velvet hat. Over the costume was worn a coat of navy diagonal cloth with fur collar. The wedding . bell in lemon toning and floral work was done by Mrs C. B. Higginson. Oldridge—McCarthy A quiet but very pretty wedding was solemnised in the Church of the Resurrection, Gisborne, on June 15, when Aroha Treasure McCarthy, second daughter of Mrs W. D. Christie, Stanley road, Gisborne, was married to Noel Edwin, third son of Mr and Mrs W. H. Oldridge, Dannevirke. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. C. Aires, and Mrs S. Rutherford presided at the organ. The church had been charmingly decorated with white camellias, African marigolds, antirrhinums and jonquils, mingled with greenery. The bride, who was given away by her stepfather, looked graceful in a model gown in a rich petunia shade,

with a smart velour quill-trimmed hat to tone, and carried a beautifully bound ivory prayer book. Miss Molly Stevenson was bridesmaid, and wore a smart frock of cornflower blue, with a hat to match. Mr Lawrence Budd, Manaia, acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Christie, where only relatives and intimate friends gathered to congratulate the happy couple. Mrs Christie welcomed the guests in a smart black tailored costume with bright cravat, and a modish black hat. Mrs W. H. Oldridge, mother of the bridegroom, was becomingly gowned in cherry crepe-de-chine, patterned in black and white, a smart black hat. and fur coat. Miss Rae McCarthy, sister of the bride, was froeked in black velvet, relieved with white satin, and a small black hat.
