SOME GLOVE ADVICE
Gloves are things that cannot be trifled with. Most people begin well by putting them on the right way—fingers eased in first and smoothed down gently—then the thumbs. That is when the gloves are now. But when they get older the wearer grows careless and pulls them on like boxing gloves, and then they go completely shapeless. You may have wondered why “washable” gloves often do not look the same when washed. It was your fault for being too fond of the hot tap. They need lukewarm witter, or they go pulpy and end by looking queer. There was a theory once about leaving the soap in. Nowadays glove makers advocate rinsing the gloves out twice to make sure the snnp has gone. Much the best way to wash gloves is to keep them on your hands. They must never he squeezed nor put by the fire. Hans' them from the wrists and null the Anvers gently into shape as they dry. Always spread your gloves out flat when not in use. Their shape is the most important thing and has to bs preaervflt
