EXCESS OF EXPORTS
Dominion Overseas Trade By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON June 25. The overseas trade figures of New Zealand, excluding specie, for May, 1935, were, exports £4,326,000, compared with £4,710,000 in 1934, and £3,120,000 in 1933. Imports totalled £3,024,000, compared with £2,343,000 in 1934, and £2,073,000 in 1933. The excess of exports was £1,302,000, compared with £2,367,000 in 1934 and £1,047,000 in 1933. For the five months ended May, 1935, exports totalled £23,882,000, compared with £28,203,000 for the same period in 1934, and £19,662,000 for 1933. Imports amounted to £14,362,000 compared with £12,028,000 for the same period in 1934, and £10,592,000 for 1933. The excess of exports was £9,520,000, compared with £16,175,000 for the same period in 1934, and £9,070,000 for 1933. All values are expressed in terms of New Zealand currency. The value of specie excluded in May was; Exports, £2IO,(XX); imports, £6OO. For the five months ended May, 1935, exports totalled £361,000, and imports £188,830.
