NIAGARA FALLS
Big Rock Blast Planned Niagara Falls, one of the modern scenic wonders of the world, i 8 to be re-shaped by a powder blast that will tear away 5,500 tons of rock from a ledge which is considered unsafe. During recent months erosion has caused many rock slides nt the famous falls, and scientists have declared that unless something is done to check the erosion the fali s will eventually disappear. The nian-m.ido slide, announced by Die Niagara Parks Commission, will take place next. autumn and will cost £2,900. It will dislodge a ledge overhanging the gorge near Tabic |(ock House at the Canadian Faile.
