Acclimatisation Work The Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation Society take s advantage of its annual report to express thanks to all persons and organisations who have given assistance during the past year. The annua; report thanks the tollowing :— Executive ot the New Zealand Acclimatisation Societies’ Association for their excellent work in protecting and furthering the interests of the many societies in the Dominion; to the Marine Department and the Department of Internal Affairs. These departments are doing all in their power to further the interests of acclimatisation throughout the Dominion, and deserve the best thanks of this society for advice and assistance co readily given; to the honorary rangers for valuable services rendered and keenness displayed in the interests of the society; to the police for their activities in regard to poaching; to breeders who reared and protected pheasants ■ to property owners who have co-oper-ated in the protection of game; to those members who so freely gave of their time in assisting in the liberation of fry and pheasants; to Mr W. A Pickard, of Dannevirke, the society gratefully recognising the services rendered by him in the interests of Southern Hawke’s Hay; to the Department of Internal Affairs for their helpful advice and courteous assistance; to Mr C. Crooks for his contribution to the game farm.
