Car Plunges Through Bridge MINING OFFICIALS KILLED Tragic Accident in Southland (By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, June la. A tragic motor accident occurred last evening, involving the deaths of Messrs Thomas A. Nicholson and Allan Timpuny, manager and secretary of the .Linton Coal Co. They had visited the mine at Ohai and left Otautau for Invercargill at 8 o’clock in drizzling rain. About 4 o’clock in the morning three men who were proceeding to Nightcaps saw a car in the Aparima river, having crashed through the Fairfax Bridge. Both bodies were found in the car. Both men, who were married, were prominent in sporting circles.
