Peter Pan’s Cup Chances SYDNEY, June 24. Commenting on Peter Pan’s weight of 10.6 in the Melbourne Cup, the owner, Mr Dangar, said that the horse had a fearful job, but he was hopeful that Peter Pan would win his third cup. He could hardly have been allotted less weight, Having won last (ear with 9.10, and his recent Aus- | tralian mile record had to be consider- | cd. Pike, Peter Pan’s rider, said, “He I is second only to Pliar Lap. Peter Pan I will overcome most of his difficulties, hut the dangei will come from a really good staying three-year-old with a weight advantage of three stone.’’ The leading three-year-olds included are Young Idea 7.9, Garrio 7.9 and Bimilla 7.3. On the weight-for age scale the two first-named have three pounds over and Bimilla two. On the same basis Peter Pan has been allotted seven pounds less than Phar Lap when the latter carried 10.10,
