MAKOTUKU EUCHRE TOURNEY
The Makotuku Women's Institute euchre tournament, held in the public hall on Thursday night, was well patronised, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. Eighteen names were played Prizewinners were as lollows: —Ladies, Miss Joan Palmer. 14} wins; consolati&n, Mrs G. Chapman; men, Mr. C. A. Berkahn, 134 wins; consolation, Mr T. R. Fothergill. The usual dainty home-made supper wa» dispensed.
