McCready Beats Pereira By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 24. A packed audience in the Wellington Town Hall was treated to one of the most exciting straight wrestling encounters of the season, when Al Pereira, Amcrican-PortuguetC, met Earl McCready Canadian, who claims the Empire title. With both men wrestling hard and cleverly. Pereira put up an excellent fight but was beaten by a dump and a bodv-press in the fifth round, ami another body-press almost immediately afterward.
