WAIPUKURAU CHESS
From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, June 22. There was a very full attendance of members at- Friday night's session of the Waipukurau Chess Club, the boards being busilv engaged throughout the evening I,adder games played resulted as follow:— White heat Huntley Walker; Neild beat Fowler; Robertson and Murphy, stalemate; Wilson beat Moffatt: Jacobsen beat* James; Fowler bent Moffatt ; Sheriff beat Wiggins. The chariipionship for the season has drawn an excellent entry of 11 and this will commence next Friday. The club has accepted a telegraphic match with the Woodville club lor July 6.
