ACCOMMODATION TAXED

Hastings High School The accommodation at the Hastings High School has become so taxed that difficulty is being experienced in accommodating all the classes. Discussing the question at its annual meeting last night, the Hastings High School Board decided that representations should be made to the Minister of Education during his coming visit to Hastings. “With the recent increase )n the number of pupils and teachers it has become very difficult to accommodate all the classes,” said Mr W. A. G. Penlington, the principal, in his report to the board. “On several occasions the workshop has been brought into use as a classroom. The position is at its limit, and until more accommodation is provided e shall not be able to employ to proper advantage any additional teachers, and it seems likely that the school will become entitled to one at the beginning of next year. ’
