TE KURA SOCIAL CIRCLE

The monthly meeting of the Tc Kura Ladies’ Social Circle was held lalt week. Airs Campbell, president of the Pukchou Women’s Institute, gave a most interesting and delightful talk on ;he life and works of Schubert, interspersed with recordings of the composer’s best known and most popular works. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Airs Campbell for her enjoyable talk. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesses, Al'esdames Arnott and Baucke, and a pleasant social half hour was spent. These meetings continue to bo very popular, filling as they do a long-felt need in the community.
