H.B. VACANCIES FILLED
Mortgagors’ Adjustment Commission By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 19. The vacancies that existed in the Hawke’s Bay Mortgagors’ Adjustment Commission have now been filled by the Government. The chairmanship of the commission, which was occupied for some time by Mr R. 8. Chadwick, of Dannevirke, who was recently appointed a member of the Court of Review established under the Mortgagors Final Adjustment Act, has been allotted to Mr Martin Greenwood, of Hastings, a member of the original Hawke’s Bay Commission. To the two vacancies in the Commission caused by the elevation of Mr Greenwood to the chairmanship of the Commission, and the retirement, for health reasons, of Mr J. H. Joll, Havelock North, Mr Ronald H. White, Otane, Hawke’s Bay, and Mr Montgomery O. Grainger, Maharahara, Hawke’s Bay, have been appointed. The Minister of Justice, the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, in referring to-day to the reconstruction of the personnel of tho Hawke’s Bay Commission, paid tributo to the work of Mr Chadwick and Mr Joll as members of tho Commission. Both Gentlemen, lie said, had rendered splendid assistance alike to the Government and to tjie parties concerned in applications with which tho Commission had hud to deal.
