TEACHER’S SERVICES
Board’s Appreciation
Appreciation of the good work which Miss Hobart carried out at the Napier Girls’ High School for over seven years was expressed by the principal, Miss 1). M. Arthur, in tier monthly report to the Napier Secondary Education Board. Miss Hobart left after the last term holidays owing to the sudden and serious illness of her father.
Miss Arthur stated: I should like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation of the good work which Miss Hobart conscientiously and loyally carried out during this long period, including the most difficult and trying months of 1931 when she not only did much to bring about the re-opening of the hostel on a small scale, but assisted on many occasions during those first weeks in the many trying duties involved in re-establishing the day school. Miss Hobart visited the hostel for a few hours one day last week when the boarders had an opportunity to make her a presentation in token of their appreciation of her services.
