HELP FOR SOLDIER

Stole When Destitute

AUCKLAND, June 19.

The publicity given to the case of the returned soldier who, when destitute, stole clothes for his wife, has brought practical help, and the Rev. G. E. Moreton said to-day that more than 25 letters had been received from al Iparts of New Zealand. Each contained a donation as well as sympathy. One was received ‘‘from one who realises—the mother of a soldier wreck.” Mr. Moreton said that the man had been found a job, blankets, fuel, some furniture and clothing, and he was deeply grateful of the sympathy and practical help of his fellow New Zealanders.
