One of the few parts of the district which were not enveloped in the heavy fog last night was round the hills at Poraite. From tho top of the hill near Mr. Dudley Kettle’s residence a scene of unusual beauty was presented. The valleys and the Aliuriri lagoon looking towards Napier were completely hidden in tho dense mist.
