“1 think a cheerful woman is one of God's greatest gifts to humanity; I mean a naturally cheerful woman—cheerfulness cannot be put on like a cloak,” said Mrs W. Dobson in an address on the value of women organising, given at the birthday social of the Mangatera Women’s Institute. Mrs Dobson urged her audience to cultivate cheerfulness, saying it was of benefit to themselves as well as other people.
