ARREST OF STRIKERS

Railways Demand Protection TREKKING ACROSS CANADA (Received 14, 1.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, Juno 13. Tho Government’s order to stop the relief camp strikers’ trek to Ottawa was vigorously assailed in the House of Commons by Radical Commonwealth Opposition members. The Minister of Justice, Mr. Guthrie, in reply stated that the march from Vancouver had been organised by Communists to disturb the peace. The railways had demanded protection from 1200 men who were compelling' free transportation on freight trains. The men remained outside the police zone.
