STATE OF EDUCATION

An announcement that a meeting of tne Hawke’s Bay Educational Institute is to be held on Tuesday to discuss educational affairs generally was made at the Hastings Rotary Club to-day by Mr. D. T. McCormick, headmaster of Hastings Central School. Guests from among the general public are to be invited to hear the discus cions.

Mr. Mcormick said that the institute was concerned with what he described M the parlous state of education in New Zealand, and wished to place the position before parents, who were utally concerned.
