To-day’s Waipukurau Prices BIG FAT CATTLE ENTRY Prices Remain Steady Fat cattle were in good supply at today’s sale at Waipukurau, the entry being the largest lor some weeks, and the quality of quite good standard generally. Competition was steady, with the market remaining very steady at late rates, the usual buyers purchasing the bulk of the yarding, although a few pens failed to meet the market. Female beef was principally on offer, with some good quality lines of well grown and finished cattle included. Top price for heifers wag £6 10/-, while bullocks made in the vicinity of £9. The store cattle sale was still in progress at 1 o’clock, and prices realised were again very steady with good competition on the majority of the entries. Selected entries and price paid, from which an idea of the state of the market may be obtained, are as follow:— FAT CATTLE. Nine P.A. and P.A. crossbred cows, well grown and finished, passed at £4 10/-. A single big framed Shorthorn crossbred bullock weighty and finished, sold at £9. zl single Shorthorn bullock, medium framed and sized, a chubby beast, made £8 12/6- A similarly bred bullock, lighter condition, realised £B. A small framed P.A. steer, well finished, made £1 17/6. Eight Hereford cows, travelled, medium well framed, mixed in finish, <-old at £4. Three thorthoru Hereford cows fairly trained and lightly finished, realised £3 10/-. Two medium framed, lightly covered Hereford cows made £3 7/6. Three Polled Hereford crossbred cows, in the same pen, better finished, met the market at £3 12/-, Three P.A. heifers, medium framed, and light to medium finished, sold at £3 17/6. A single P.A. bullock, medium framed and lightly finished, made £6 17/6. A single P.A. heifer, well framed and medium finished, made £4 12/6. Eight P.A. bullocks, medium framed and mixed in finish, passed at £6 5/-. Six P.A. and P.A. Hereford heifers, tmall framed young cattle, lightly finished, made £3 10/ . A single well finished Hereford bullock, wed grown, sold at £8 17/6. A single P.A. Hirelord cow, veil grown uiid finished, made £1 15/-. In the same pen, another cow realised £4 10/-. Three well-grown Red Polled crossbred cows, in prime order, met good competition to sell at £1 17/6. Seven dehorned Hereford cows, medium to well-framed, medium finished, made £4 1/-. • Seven P.A. heifers, medium framed, well finished, sold at £4 18/-. Four P.A. Hereford crossbred cows, well framed and finished, realised £4 16/-. Seven P.A. cows, fairly framed and finished, sold at £4 5/-, eight single better finished animals making £4 11/-. Seven well grown P cows, medium framed and finished, realised £1 7/6. A single prime heavy P.A. heifer, well grown and chubby, started at £5 10/-. to sell at £6 10/-. Two P.A. crossbred bullocks, fairly framed and lightly finished, made £7 5/6. An Otane entry of seven P.A. cows, well grown and finished, sold out ut £4 7,6. Two Hereford wossbred bullocks, mixed in size, well covered, made £B. A Wallingforu entry of eight P.A. cows, well framed and medium primed, realised £4 9/6. A eingle prime P.A. heifet runner, well grown, made £3 10/-. A single P.A. cow. medium framed and in prime order, sold at £4 15/-,

Two Shorthorn crossbred heifers, medium framed ana medium prime, realised £i> !/-• Offered on account of Mr G. Jamieson a pen of P.A. and Hereford crossbred bullocks, fairly and nicely finished, met the market at £8 6/-. STORE CATTLE. Offered on account of a Wallingford venUor a pen ot 10 empty P.A. and P.A. crossbred cows, fairly framed and in store condition, made £2 12/-. Twenty-one raving two-year-old Here, ford steers, clean bred, quite well grown and in good order generally, passed at £2 17/6. Offered on account of Mr 11. P. Hole, “Clovelly,’’ Hatuma, a pen of 14 weaner steers, Red Poll and Hod Poll crossbred cattle, well grown and in excellent order, made £2 44/-. Six empty P.A. cows, young cattle, lightly framed and store conditioned, sold out at £2. A Wallingford line of 28 P.A. wearier steers, well bred, in good order and quite well grown, realised £2 18/-. A pen of 35 fresh conditioned P.A. weaner steers, on account of a Porangahau vendor, mixed in size, made £2 10/-. Six Hereford and Hereford crossbred steers, fairly grown and fresh conditioned, made £3 15/-. Thirteen dehorned Hereford rising three-year-old steers, fairly grown, fresh conditioned, passed at £3 18/-. Offered on account of Mr J. McLean, a pen of 14 empty P.A. cows, young cattle in fresh store order, medium framed, made £2 18/-Twentv-five weaner P.A. heifer,« sold at £1 16/-.
