Martin Outpointi Ryan

A professional middleweight boxing contest between R. B. Martin, of Auckland, and Marine Ryan of H.M.B. Dunedin, was won by Martin on points at the end of 10 stheduled rounds. There wrs perhaps too much defensive fighting to make the boyt really attractive, but over the later stages it was very bright indeed. Ryan proved hiniielf an experienced fighter, and bis cleverness clearly bad Martin puzzled over the early rounds, but once he gained confidence, the Aucklander fought more confidently.
