Henry S. Fitter’s Report Henry 8. Fitter and Sons, Ltd., through their New Zealand representative, Mr R. L. Bennett, advise that the position of the London meat market at May 9 was as follows:— N.Z. lambs, selected Downs, 2’s, Gjd to 6-Jd, secondary lambs, 6|d to Gjd, 2’s, 6Jd to 61d, B’s, 6Jd to Gjd, 4’s, 6 3-8 d to Gid, secondary lambs, s|d to Gd, N.Z. mutton, small, 3Jd to 4Jd, large 3d to 3 3-Bd, N.Z. ewes, small, 27-8 d to 3 3-Bd, large, 2Jd to 2 5-Bd, N.Z. beef, ox hinds 3 3-8 d to 3 5-Bd, foies, 2ld to 2Jd, Argentine chilled ox hinds, 5-Jd to 7d, fores, 3Jd to 3-Jd, N.Z. pork, sld to Gd, Australian lambs, 5d to 5 3-B<i, superfine quality, 5Jd to sjd, Argentine lambs, 5d to s|<l. Lambs.— The market is steady; first grade light weights are in better demand. Wethers.—There is a little better | demand. Ewes.— The market is rather easier.
