Hastings Section Hastings H. 5.0.8. v. Celtic—The exstudente experienced no great difficulty in winning, the final count being 23—0 in their favour. In the first half of the game Palmer scored a couple of tries for Old Boys, Reid converting both, and Alexander also scored a try. After the interval Reid kicked a penalty and a field goal while Sharpley added a try.—Mr F. Mcßryde refereed. Hastings v. Waimarama—Played on the High School ground this game was keenly contested throughout, the final honours eventually resting with Hastings by B—6.8—6. Tries for Hastings were scored by Aldridge and Cameron. Holtz converting one. A penalty goal by Waitoko and a try by Ropiha comprised the Scasidcrs’ score.—Mr K. McKen zie refereed. M.A.C. v. Haumoana—There was not a. great deal between these two teams, the Maoris being better in the open play and the Scasidcrs prevailing in the tight. A field goal by Waerea and a try by Johnston gave M.A.C. the honours by seven points to nil.—Mr R. Pearson refereed.
Napier Section Pirates and M. 8.0.8. scored thres points each in their match on McLean Park. Gilroy scored a try lor Pirates,
and Hardgreaves a penalty try for Marist. Mr Cockburn refereed. (July uno point separated H. 5.0.8. from Eskview at Esfcdale, the firstmention winning by 1Q pointe to nine. Thorne-George (try), Johnson (try), Cox (conversion) and Cornford (conversion) scored for H. 5.0.8. Eskview’s score was made up of a try and two penalties.
