CAR BRAKES ON FIRE When Mr A. E. Renouf, of Napiei Terrace, was driving his car into town shortly after 7 o’clock last evening, he discovered that the brakes were burn ing. This was near the Provincial Hotel, Clive Square. The Fire Brigade was summoned, and the fire was put ■>ut with a fire extinguisher. Perhap. Mr Renouf was lucky that, his car was not far from tho hire Brigade Station, for as it happened, scarcely any damage was done to the car. Incidentally, two similar car fires have occurred in Napier during the past fortnight.
