RELATIONS WITH JAPAN
Australian Appointment
(Received 12, 10.53 a.m.) CANBERRA, May 11.
Cabinet has chosen Mr Longfleld Lloyd as Australian representative in Tokio. It is understood that the Japanese Government has approved of the appointment, which carries with it certain diplomatic authority. Mr Lloyd is at present chief of the Federal Attorney-C neral’s investigation branch in Sydney.
