Mr A. Garnett, architect, invites tenders for alterations and additions
A general meeting of shareholders ol the Hastings Starr-Bowkett Building Society will bo held in the Chamber ol Commerce rooms on Monday evening next for the purpose of holding appropriations amounting to £lOOO. The first appropriation by sale to be held, in the newly-formed No. (> issue will take place at this meeting.
Lovers of music are reminded, of the special musical and national thanksgiving service in the Hastings Methodist Church to-morrow evening at 7 o'clock. Thu anthems by the choir will bo "How Long Will Thou Forsake Me?” and "Hie God of Abraham Praise.’’ .Miss Dorothy Symonds wiil sing (by request) “Abide With Me.” There will be a short address by the Rev. R. B. Gosnell on "How God the King." As the church is centrally heated people may worship in comfort.
Residents ol Hastings arc advised that special Mothers’ Day services have been arranged for them to-morrow morning and evening in the Hastings M.ithouist Church. In addition, during tho afternoon there will be a unique baptismal service, when some' twenty children will be dedicated Io God. This service commences at 3 o’clock. At all senices there will be special singing and worshippers are invited to wear a a bile Hower.
