Mr Vernon Leeves, of Parramatta, Sydney, is on a visit to his aunt, Mrs A. Masters, Seiwood road, Hastings,
Mr A. D. Woolcott, an assistant master at the Auckland Grammar School, has been appointed to the staff of the Wanganui Technical College.
Mr A. D. Heauy, eecretary of the Associated Chambers of Commerce ol New Zealand, will be visiting Hastings and Napier during tho week-end of May 19 and 20. He will probably deliver addresses to both chambers during hie stay
Tho resignation of Mr A. Masters from tho position of treasurer to the Hawke's Bay brunch of the Farmers’ Inion was accepted with regret at today’s conference of the branch, members paying tribute to the excellent work which Mr Masters hud done for the union.
Captain J. G. Greenwood, M.C., has boon awarded the Long and Efficient Service Medal for 20 years’ service in the New Zealand military forces. During the war Captain Greenwood serveu with the Canterbury Regiment and the New Zealand Rifle Brigade.
