To prevent the hands from etaining when cleaning the stove, place them inside a brown paper bag before holding the cloth.llubbing a bruise with sweet oil and then with spirits of turpentine will usually prevent the unsightly black and blue marks which otherwise follow a bruise.
For rough elbows soak them occasionally in warm olive oil, and every night give them a few momenta' massage with a good cold cream with which you have carefully blended some olive oil.
Hand lotion or a little hand cream should be applied after washing your hands morning and night; and if you are wise you will smear on plenty of grease and sleep in gloves at least twice a week.
The following exercise, if practised regularly, will help to improve the shape of the arm#: Stand erect, arms outstretched at shoulder level, palms down. Pulling strongly outward against the shoulder joints, twirl the arms inwards and outwards.
For the brunette with very fair skin and black hair nothing quite equals rachel powder with just a hint of blue in the rouge. And for the darken brunettes deep peach or tan powdci with deep carmine rouge and lipstick is best
If you wear your hair shingled, hav it trimmed a Hay or two before you gi> to a party. Don’t allow clippers to lr run over'the nape of your neck, but have the hair “tidied up’’ with scissors. If the hair roots show up dark, they can be dabbed with peroxide. »
