COMING EVENTS

The monthly meeting of the Hastings Chamber of Commerce will be held at 8 o’clock on Monday evening. Members of the Loyal Hastings Lodge, M.U.0.F., are requested to attend the funeral of their’ Bro. Arch. McDonald, which will leave the Baptist Church after the service at 1.45 p,.m. to-morrow. Adjutant and Mrs Goffin, from Napier, will conduct two revival services tins Sunday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the Salvation Army Citadel, Warren street. Stories of recent revivals will be a feature. The annual general meeting of the Hastings H. 5.0.8. Football Club will be held in the Drill Hall on Thursday evening next at 7.45. Ail members and intedina members are requested to attend. "Things You Should Know/’ with special reference to “World Tides in the Far East”—China, Japan and the whispers of war —will be discussed tomorrow evening by the Rev. It. B. Gosnell in the Hastings Methodist Church. The choir will render Largo’s “Holy Art Thou” and the usual hearty invitation is extended to all to attend this service.
