Waipukurau Club Meets From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, March 15. rile annual general meeting of the Waipukurau Golf Club was held tins evening, Mr It. Haldane presiding over an excellent attendance of members. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted, showing the club was in a very sound financial position. The election of officers resulted:— President, Air R. Haldane; vice-presi-dents, Ale.ssrs J. Reid, II R. Peacock, and J. G. Clarkson; club captain, Mr N. Parker; committee, Alcfsrs. G. Speedy, L. R. Grant, R. Air Lean, .1. G. Stewart, and V. It. Bradley; secre-tary-treasurer, Air B. H. Johanson, auditor, Air C. R. Moore. Some twenty new members were elected. A vote of sympathy was accorded the relatives and family of the late Air T. Staines, a valued and active member of the (Illi). An objection to the congestion on the links attributed to the number of inter-club matchef, played last season was expressed by several members.lhe matter "as left to the discretion of the committee. The president expressed the club's appreciation to Mr G. Speedy for his generosity in donating a cup for compel ii ion.
