CINEMA FILM EXPLODES

Two Small Boys Killed MELBOURNE, March 13. Two boys were burned to death in a fire following an explosion at the workshop of the Lygon Leadlight Co.’s premises, East Brunswick. A quantity of cinema film ignited and exploded. One boy was hurled 20 feet. The victims were Charles Lcydon, aged 14, and Leslie Smith, aged 14. The boys were cleaning the pictures from old cinema films in order to recover the silver and re-sell the films. Their bodies were charred almost beyond recognition. The cause of the explosion is unknown.
