He had now received a reply Irow the German Government concurring in his description of the scope of the proposed meeting and inviting him to go to Berlin Im this purpose. His Majesty's Government considered that this was a useful suggestion and he hoped to visit Berlin very shortly, although the date and other details remained to be arranged. The French ind Italian Governments had approved the course of action proposed. hi reply to a supplementary inquiry. Sir John Simon said that the question of Ins visit to Moscow and other capitals to dismiss the European situation was still under consideration.
