WANGANELLA DELAYED
Stewards Give Notice (Received 26, 10.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 26. The sailing of the Wanganella is postponed indefinitely. A dispute arose when, between Melbourne and Sydney, a steward and stewardess, who according to the Sydney manager did not give satisfactory service, were given notice. Following a meeting of stewards they gave 24 hours’ notice, to become efl'ec tive if the steward, who was a union delegate on the vessel, and the steward ess were not reinstated. The dispute will he discussed by a meeting of the Stewards’ Union to-day. ANOTHER SHIP HELD UP (Received 26, 10.50 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Feb. 26. The departure of the cargo steamer James Cook for New Zealand has been postponed indefinitely iu consequence of the decision of the seamen’s union to retuse to man the ship unless additional trimmers are called for.
