ARRESTS IN SPAIN
Correspondents Expelled LONDON, Nov. 9. “The Times” Madrid correspondent says that constant complaints regarding information published abroad are being made by the Spanish Press and they culminated in the arrest of many newspaper correspondents. Mr Reginald Calvert, of the “Doily Telegraph” was taken from his home, but the British Embassy later secured his release. Mademoiselle Thierry, correspondent for “ L’Oeuvre, ” was arrested and expelled due, it is believed, to articles on the Catalonian situation. Other journalists have been arrested and expelled from Spain as undesirables.
