Young Man Sent to Gaol By Telegraph —Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 26. Ronald Tong Cowan, aged 23, electrical engineer, was charged with car conversion and, pleading guilty, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. A constable saw the car stop in Courtney Place and a girl get out. When the car went on the constable pursued it in a taxi, but did not catch it. The car was found next morning. The accused' said he took the car to a dance at Hataitai and afterwards drove two giris home.
