INFERIOR FRUIT
Commonwealth Shipments STEPS TO OVERCOME DEFECTS (Received 27, 10.45 a.m.) CANBERRA, Oct. 27. The Commonwealth Government has taken up the question of inferior fruit shipments to London, which was the subject of recent complaints, and amendments are being introduced before Christmas to overcome defects in the existing legislation, which precluded Commonwealth intervention, also to enable stricter supervision in methods of inspection and packing.
