Collection at Napier
Customs revenue collected at Napier last month (£27,589 14/1) comparea very favourably with that of September, 1933 (£22,712 5/1), but the return for the July-September quarter of this year (£101,277) is a considerable advance on the third quarter returns for 1933 (£84,444). The total revenue last month was made up as follows: Customs (£20,972). beer (£272), sales tax £2,756), and miscellaneous (£3,588), shillings and pence omitted in each case.
